What is a Wi-Fi QR code?
A Wi-Fi QR encodes your network name (SSID), security type, and password in a standard text format that most phones recognize. Scanning prompts the device to join your network automatically.
Steps to create one
- Open the QRBuilder Generator and select Wi-Fi.
- Enter your exact SSID and choose Security (usually WPA/WPA2).
- Type your Password (leave blank only for open networks).
- Click Generate QR → test with your phone.
- Download SVG for print, or PNG for screens.
Best practices
- Use high contrast (dark code on light background).
- For small prints or possible wear, set error correction to H.
- Create a guest SSID if you want to limit access.
- Print and place in a well-lit, accessible location.
