Privacy Policy
Effective date: November 5, 2025 • Last updated: November 5, 2025
QRBuilder (“we”, “our”, “us”) respects your privacy. This page explains what information is processed when you use qrbuilder.tech and our QR generator, and how third-party services such as analytics and advertising may handle data.
1) What we process
- No account required. We don’t ask you to sign in or create an account.
- Local-only QR generation. The text, URLs, Wi-Fi details, or vCard data you enter are processed directly in your browser to render a QR code. We do not upload or store those contents on our servers.
2) Cookies & local storage
- Essential preferences. We may store a small preference such as your light/dark theme in your browser’s localStorage. This does not include QR content.
- Optional cookies. If analytics and/or ads are enabled, third-party providers such as Google may set cookies or use similar technologies to measure traffic and deliver ads.
You can usually clear or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking cookies may affect how ads and analytics work, but will not prevent the QR generator itself from functioning.
3) Analytics (optional)
If we enable Google Analytics (GA4), it helps us understand anonymous usage trends (for example, which pages are visited, approximate region, and device type). GA4 may set cookies and collect an IP address (which Google may truncate or anonymize according to their policies). We do not use Analytics data to identify individual users.
You can learn more about how Google uses information from sites that use their services at Google’s policy for partner sites .
4) Advertising, cookies & personalization
If we enable Google AdSense, advertising on this website may be served by Google and its partners. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your visits to this and/or other websites.
- Personalized ads. These ads may be based on your interests or previous browsing activity.
- Non-personalized ads. These ads are based on the content of the page you are viewing, your approximate location, or generic context, but are not built from your ad profile.
- Ad technology providers. Google may allow additional certified ad technology providers to serve and measure ads on this site; those providers may use their own cookies in accordance with their policies.
You can manage or opt out of ad personalization in your Google account at adssettings.google.com, and read more about Google advertising technologies at policies.google.com/technologies/ads .
5) Legal bases for processing (EEA/UK visitors)
For visitors from the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, we rely on the following legal bases under the GDPR:
- Legitimate interest for operating, securing, and improving our website.
- Consent for non-essential cookies, analytics, and personalized advertising where required by law.
6) Your rights & choices
Depending on your location (for example, if you are in the EEA, UK, or California), you may have certain rights regarding your personal data. Because we do not store the QR content you enter, the data we or our providers process is limited mainly to technical and usage information. Subject to local law, your rights may include:
- Right of access: to request information about the data processed about you.
- Right to rectification: to request correction of inaccurate information.
- Right to deletion: to request deletion of personal data we hold, where applicable.
- Right to restriction or objection: to restrict or object to certain forms of processing, such as direct marketing.
- Right to withdraw consent: where processing is based on consent (for example, cookies used for analytics or personalized ads), you may withdraw that consent at any time, typically by adjusting your browser settings or ad preferences.
- CCPA/CPRA (California): California residents may have additional rights such as the right to know, delete, and opt out of “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. We do not sell your personal information in the traditional sense; any advertising-related data is handled by Google and its partners under their own policies.
To exercise any rights relating to data processed directly by us, contact us at contact@qrbuilder.tech. For data processed by Google (Analytics or AdSense), please refer to Google’s own tools and privacy pages linked above.
7) Data security
Because QR content is generated locally in your browser, your inputs aren’t transmitted to our server. When third-party services such as analytics or advertising are active, they process data under their own terms and security practices. We aim to use reputable providers and HTTPS to protect connections to our site.
8) External links
Our site may link to external websites or resources we do not control. We are not responsible for their content, security, or privacy practices. We recommend reviewing the privacy policies of any external sites you visit.
9) Children
Our website is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data via a third-party form or service linked from this site, please contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
10) Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time for clarity, legal, or operational reasons. When we make changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after changes are posted means you accept the updated policy.
